SGI Altix
PNNL has purchased an SGI Altix for general purpose high performance computing at PNNL. The system is open to all PNNL staff members doing 1830 work. The system runs a single copy of Linux over 128 Intel Itanium2 processors running at 1.5GHz. In addition the system has 256GB of RAM and 1/2TB of disk space.
Currently Altix1 supports the following applications:
- StarCD
- MSC.MARC
- MM5
- CCM
- NWChem
- ADF
